Rave’s July Schedule Update Sneak Peek!
An eagerly awaited update is due to go live within Rave Build this July, and we’re keen to give you a sneak peek of what we have planned! We’ll also share a few thoughts on how this update will improve your experience using RAVE – we kick things off with…
A revamped Schedule Tab and Task Gantt design – Focusing on clarity & ease of use.
You’ll love the smooth new look of the Schedule Tab, as we continue to revamp and update the look and feel of RAVE. You can switch between the Schedule, Task Gantt, and Baseline Shift etc with ease, and get a very clear view of “Where things are at”.
You can also switch between the Classic Task Gantt you know and love (which combines our existing functionality with the new Task Gantt design), and our new advanced Task Gantt which allows for predecessors, linked tasks, and task click and drag.
Other updates will include:
The option of hourly or daily task durations – customise your schedule down to the hour!
Branch control over working days (including weekend days), holidays, & project shutdowns.
Baseline Shift locking and Reporting.
This addition means that once a schedule is locked, all task changes require an explanation, and can be reported against.
Resource Allocation.
This is perfect to clearly keep tabs on which tasks your staff and contractors are assigned to and their overall capacity – basically a supercharged FTE report!
An updated Key Tasks report.
Optional contractor task acceptance workflow.
And Schedule Templates updates.
Amongst these template changes, is the ability to adjust and edit schedule templates, and the ability to load multiple schedule templates to a job.
We have a few other changes in store, including some additional schedule notification improvements, but we’ll leave those for next month’s big announcement!
